Isuzu Pick-up, O2 Sensor Light
Q: I have an ‘89 Isuzu Pick-up and at 90K the O2 sensor light came
on. Even after I changed the O2 sensor the light was still on. Is there
a problem or am I doing something wrong?
A: You’ll
just love this. At 90K intervals, the O2 Sensor light will illuminate.
After replacing the sensor you must perform the following procedure to
reset the light. 1. Remove the instrument cluster. 2. Remove the tape
from the hole marked "B" on the back of the instrument cluster. 3.Find
the hole marked "A" and remove the screw from that hole. 4. Install the
screw in the hole marked "B". 5. Recover hole "B" with tape. 6. Reinstall
instrument cover. Once you travel 90,000 more miles you get to reverse
the procedure. I think they should test the water at the places those
automotive engineers work at.
